According to trusty Wikipedia NoDoz is a caffeine tablet that "restores mental alertness or wakefulness if you are experiencing fatigue or drowsiness. NoDoz is a central nervous system stimulant and it works by stimulating the brain."  Seems pretty harmless and it is available over the counter.

I must admit at times I refer to the recommended dosages on over the counter medication and take it as just that – a recommendation. 

I know next time I get a headache or a cold I am going to think a bit more carefully about how I manage the symptoms as it has become all too easy for me to pop a pill, rather than slow down and look after myself.
